About me
Nina Dinka Ranns is a C++ consultant and a long-time member of the ISO C++ standardization committee, where she has contributed since 2013. She currently serves as ISO C++ committee vice convener and as a director of the Standard C++ Foundation.
Throughout her career, she has worked on systems ranging from telecommunications infrastructure to cloud-based security products. As a consultant, she has collaborated with Edison Design Group, Qt Group, Bloomberg, and the C++ Alliance on compiler technology, library design, and the evolution of C++.
Her recent technical work has focused on bringing evolving C++ features into real compiler implementations. Following her work implementing C++ Contracts in GCC, she is now working on C++ Profiles, with a particular interest in using implementation experience to inform their design and standardization.
Within the ISO C++ standardization committee, she is also particularly interested in the human side of highly technical work: how people communicate, collaborate, and make decisions, and the role those social interactions play in creating an international standard.
