About me
Futong Liu is a software engineer at Bloomberg, where he works on distributed backend systems for financial infrastructure, with a focus on trading systems built in modern C++. He holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from EPFL. His work spans asynchronous programming, service orchestration, and event-driven workflows in production environments. Futong is especially interested in how C++ systems can move beyond callback-heavy designs toward more composable async models, making control flow, error handling, and operational behavior easier to understand, maintain, and evolve.
